Guess this is what President Johnathan means by 'A breath of fresh air'

Finally! A breath of fresh air! The much awaited Nigerian Law School list is out and your humble blogger Urchsparkles made it! Not just making it mehn.......I overcame! I have been posted to do my compulsory 1year programme that would enable me represent you in court someday.

The fear of the northern states in Nigeria would make any student a prayer warrior. U can imagine it being a prayer point in my home at every praying time "Lord please do not let Uchechi go to the north for anything" lolssss! Its not a funny matter at all. So many of my friends that are north bound aint so good with the idea. Thier facebook updates is testimony to that fact.
Hmmm! A new friend I met in the medical centre when I went for my "semi compulsory" medical fitness test, Aminat a Lagos State University graduate hmmm.............., was posted to Kano!!!!! When I saw this, I tried her number and its been unreachable for over two weeks now. I dont know if its the vexation that made her go NA! Its well even in the well a popular statement by my friend Jemimah. Come to think of it, why so much chaos and unrest in these regions? Its a question I know no one has a concrete answer to. The Boko Haram scare!!!! Killing and wasting of innocent lives and property. Why so much hatred in the heart of man. When someone can comfortable put a knife to the throats of their fellow man, and not be moved as blood sputters out, or as humans are roasted as Ile ya rams? Its frightening!!!!! I cant even kill chicken let alone rat which I detest so much.

Why the love of human blood? Why the love of destruction? Why the inhuman actions? Why the....Why the.... Why the........ So many "Why the" without a concrete answer. Some say the struggle is against Western education? I doubt strongly. When did Nigerians start looking white like our western counterparts? The last time I checked our colours where still the same ( sorry my siblings colours because i am lightskinned #winks).

The maiguard in the next compound to ours is my very good friend who my mum just loves pumping food into. I sometimes wonder if there was to be an unrest in Lagos would this man happily put a knife to my throat (shudders!!!) In days before the insurgency, I have always dreamed of serving my fathers Land in the furthest northern state, to have a taste of thier rural life, eat thier meals (especially tuwo chinkafa) now all these dreams of mine has been shattered by these blood sucking demons. Its well even in the well. As for my eastern brothers and sisters still braving the storm in these red regions..... I say more grease to una elbow, abi na more soup for una eba?

Enough of my gists on my Boko Haram friends. They wont spoil my joy at this admission of mine. The saddest thing is that some of my close friends in school did not make it to Law school this year. Some missed it because of nonchalant attitude on the part of the staffs involved in tidying that issue, some missed it because of reasons best known to them and others missed it as a result of wicked and unscrupulous lecturers who take pleasure in victimizing female students. I would be blogging on that issue sometimes soon. Stay tuned and dont miss the gushy details that would be unfolding!

Thank you for being a part of Sparkles world.
